BDO Global, The company is seeking to appoint a dynamic and results-oriented qualified individual for the position of General Manager to oversee and manage the overall operations of the company and the Group.
– Our client, Kasabias Limited Group, is engaged in retailing and wholesaling of building materials and hardware, manufacturers of hardware products and property investment. The head office is in Suva overseeing Fiji wide operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the execution of the annual business plan, ensuring the vision, budget and strategic priorities are implemented and achieved including:

1.  Overseeing the day to day operations.
2. Ensuring the development and implementation of strategies to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
3. Maintaining and managing sound business relationships with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders.
4. Overseeing and improving business processes to achieve efficiency and cost effectiveness of the operations.
5. Coordinating the development of key performance goals for the management team.
6. Effective management skills to provide strong proven leadership and ensure continued high staff productivity and achievement of business goals.
7. Oversee and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
8. Other duties and responsibilities as required or delegated by Managing Director.

Key Requirements:

– Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in business management.
– At least 20 years of experience in a senior management role. Experience in hardware industry and manufacturing will be an added advantage.
– Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction for change management and a passion for continuous/ lean improvement.
– Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
