Post Name: Product Technical Executive

We are looking for a Product Technical Executive join our Commercial Vehicles and Equipment team. The Candidate will be working with UD Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Foton Trucks and Vans, Fassi Cranes, Volvo Commercial Equipment and other commercial equipment brands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, analyzing, identifying trends in the Brunei commercial vehicles and equipment market. Furthermore, the candidate will be task to understand the application needs of our customer and propose solutions to equip the trucks with the right commercial equipment.

Job Scope not limited to the below:

• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in the Commercial Vehicle and Equipment industry and provide feedback and analysis to Management team
• Conduct competitive analysis to stay up to date on market trends and product strategies of competitors
• Liaise with suppliers / principals to get professional recommendation for applications required to be fitted on trucks.
• Prepare costing of trucks, equipment and installation works to ensure all quotations issued by sales managers are in order.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentation materials for new model proposal, product line up request, equipment proposal, procuring from new suppliers etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Aftermarket and Marketing to ensure all relevant stakeholders are aware of the new product offerings, forecast for ordering stocks/ parts and to prepare for launch dates and plans.
• Work closely with Sales and Aftermarket Team on sales forecasting to ensure inventory of models are sufficient, parts planning is accurate and etc.
• Ensure Marketing department are aware of the arrival of new models for the team to strategize their pre and post launch, promotional mechanisms in advance.
• Develop Training materials for sales team to understand commercial trucks and equipment.
• Prepare and compile all necessary documentations for homologation (Inspection of Trucks, Application of Vehicle Registration Book, registration, permit applications, etc) and monitor shipment logistics of all trucks and equipment
• Liaise with Finance Team for payment of duties and taxes for shipment in advance by compiling and providing sufficient documentations to avoid store rent at customs.
• Participate in Company Events such as product launching as and when required.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Heavy Machinery/Equipment/Automotive Technology or any similar qualifications
• Pervious work experience in Commercial Vehicles/Equipment industry or technical role in the automotive industry will be an added advantage
• Must have a valid Driving License
• Good Communication skills with ability to converse in English. Malay and/or Mandarin.
• Must be self-motivated and proactive
