Buller Electric Power Trust was established by deed on 18 May 1993 to enable the Trustees to acquire all of the shares in Buller Electricity Limited.
The object of the Trust is to hold the shares in Buller Electricity Limited on behalf of the Consumers of the Buller, and to distribute to the Consumers in their capacity as owners, the benefits of ownership of those shares.

It is responsible for appointing Directors of Buller Electricity Limited. We are now seeking to appoint Directors to join the existing Board, commencing 31 August 2021.
Director responsibilities include setting the strategic direction, understanding the risk environment, monitoring performance and ensuring both statutory and regulatory compliance.

Applicants should possess the following attributes:

• Governance experience or a good level of understanding of directors’ duties and responsibilities.
• Experience in a range of business functions including an understanding of the electricity industry and risk recognition.
• Sound business judgment and financial literacy
• A high level of integrity and credibility.
• The ability to think independently.
• Good communication skills.
• A commitment to achieving sustainable value for Consumers by ensuring a safe, reliable and efficient Network.
