Canterbury Waste Services is an operating division of Waste Management NZ Ltd that provides waste disposal services in Canterbury. This includes the operation of the Kate Valley Regional Landfill near Waipara and the road transport fleet used to haul waste to the facility. CWS operates a fleet of modern truck and trailers that haul waste from a number of Refuse Transfer Stations around the wider Canterbury region to Waipara.

Post Name: Driver Truck and Trailer

We currently have an opportunity for experienced class 5 drivers to join our friendly team based in Christchurch.
In this role you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of a hook lift truck and trailer unit (training provided).
There is more to collecting waste man you might think, we offer late model trucks, set up with modern technologies and we all take pride in delivering an essential service to local residents and business.

To be successful in this role you need to have;

• A valid class 5 license with relevant driving experience
• Relevant transport industry knowledge and experience
• You will need to be physically fit and have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
