Carpenters Fiji Limited has an exciting opening for dynamic and suitably experienced individual to join our team in the following role to be based in Suva.

Post Name: Special Projects Officer

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Ability to lead multiple projects.
• Effectively manage multiple competing projects and shifting
• Accountable for day-to-day project support for multiple project plans.
• Build teams working on the various work areas identified.
• Identifies and manages the design and implementation of activities related to the development of special projects.
• Plans and deliver precise information based on program and application process.
• Ensure all reports are produced accurately and correctly and issued on time.
• Ensure team building and bonding is developed to attain common goal.
• Communicate with site supervisors about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to management.
• Monitors special projects and project proposals and assure findings are applied, implemented and documented.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

1. Relevant qualification in Project Management and experience in a similar field.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in event coordination.
3. Ability to work independently and to manage projects and people.
4. Highly motivated self-starter with an ability to effectively manage a range of projects in an environment with changing priorities.
5. A variety of problem-solving techniques to assess needs and the ability to determine alternative viable courses of action
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Detail orientated and highly organized
8. A team player and be willing to work odd hours
