Post Name: Youth Worker
Part time 35 Hours per week

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic youth worker to provide support and guidance to assist students to re-engage in education.

Responsibilities

• Encourage participation of students in activity planning, project development and the school community.
• Provide individual support to students at risk.
• Assist students who are heightened to de-escalate and support them to manage a situation where they are struggling to control their emotions.
• Assist in the development of IEP’s and support plans.

Requirements

• Certificate IV or Diploma of Youth Work or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience supporting the wellbeing of disengaged youth preferably in a school setting.
