Central Nsw Councils Seeking dynamic regional leader of Executive Officer.
The Central NSW region joint organization currently comprises ten councils which have joined together in an exciting venture to advance the joint interests of the region. Those councils encompass Lachlan in the west, Bathurst and Oberon to the east, and Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Orange, Parkes, and Weddin in between.
Stable and progressive, the Central NSW Councils JO unites as one voice, working together to promote the region, its people and places, and striving to achieve its full potential. This is a diverse and prosperous region with a rich agricultural, mining, retail, education and health services economy supported by high level professional services situated in two major regional cities. A region which celebrates vibrant community events such as the Parkes Elvis Festival, and which has iconic attractions such as The Dish’, Jenolan Caves, Mount Panorama and Orange Food and Wine Festival. It is a region where people help each other and where the councils work strongly in partnership in the best interest of their communities.

The Board is seeking a dynamic Executive Officer to lead the new organization, to advocate and influence government policy and strategy and, most importantly, help implement the strategy developed by the Board for the future of the region. We expect you will be a leader among leaders, with outstanding negotiation and influencing skills, political astuteness and a keen understanding of government and its processes.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the right person.
