Post Name: Deputy Chief Executive Aviation Security and Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced senior leader to be part of the Authority Leadership team, with direct responsibility for leading the delivery of regulatory activity that ensures the safety and security of participants in the aviation system.

Functions that support aviation safety and security include the provision of information, education and guidance, certification, monitoring and inspection and response. The security functions require cross agency engagement and collaboration on matters of aviation security, and at times broader matters of national security.

As a member of the Authority Leadership team, the Deputy Chief Executive will also lead the ongoing development of organisation culture and systems and inform and influence aviation safety and security regulatory policy.

What we’re looking for

For this position we require someone with the following:

• Operational leadership experience in complex regulatory and response systems
• Knowledge of, and experience in, the aviation and security systems
• Experience as a people leader with a demonstrated ability to lead culture change
• A history of success in building constructive relationships with a wide-ranging stakeholder group
• An ability to work collaboratively within the organisation and across government
• A track record of leading operational system improvements
