The 2 PT positions will job share the position and each will work twenty (20) hrs/wk.

Post Name: Stores and Facilities Assistant
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Requisition and purchase a variety of supplies
• Shipping and receiving of materials, tools, equipment, and transformers,
• Responsible for negotiating prices with various suppliers and coordinating the delivery of required goods
• Process received goods including: transporting (forklift), shelving, and disposal of packaging. May include manual lifting (401b.) and carrying of goods.
• Tag, sort and locate inventory; participate in physical inventory and cycle counts; perform year-end inventory
• Provide office support for processing vouchers; maintain inventories; transporting product via forklift, stock shelves, answering phone calls, and preparing correspondence for the purpose of purchasing supplies, equipment or services.
  To be considered the applicant must possess the following:

• Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in purchasing
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and Purchase Order Systems
• Perform simple arithmetic computations
• Read, write, and speak the English language at a level necessary to efficient job performance
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to safety and effectively perform required duties.
• Valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s licence in good standing
• Demonstrated record of good attendance
  Preference will be given to the following:
  – Experience in purchasing in a utility setting
  – Forklift licence
