The District of Coldstream, a progressive community of over 11,000 situated in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, is seeking to fill two (2) temporary positions of Labourer 1 – Parks. These eight (8) month positions are anticipated to be from March to November. The District has a third (3rd) seasonal position to cover an existing leave of absence. The term of this 3rd position is dependent upon the return of the existing employee on leave of absence.

Reporting to the Operations Superintendent or Parks Foreman, the employee performs a variety of general and specific labour-type duties including the safe and efficient operation of municipal vehicles, small tools and equipment. A complete Job description is available online at www.coldstream.ca.

A valid BC drivers licence and safe driving record are required. The successful applicant will provide the District with a driver’s abstract and a police Information check prior to the commencement of work.

The hourly wage is in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement of $24.85 per hour plus 17.5% of total earnings in lieu of sick time, vacation time, statutory holidays, and benefits.
