This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your strong, energetic leadership, for an organization that is highly respected and a leading voice in its sector.
You’ll be leading a membership based organization in the education sector, which has seen a tremendous growth in that membership due to focused and determined mahi. As the Chief Executive Officer you will lead a small and committed team to continue to represent, support and inspire the membership, and wider sector.
Given this is a small organization with a broad and topical reach, you’ll be both strategic and operationally minded – so you’ll need to demonstrate that agility of working with the Board at the strategic level, as well as being able to operationalise strategy and play an active part in that operation, whilst ensuring the organization is well managed, with the best interests of your staff and membership always in mind.
We are seeking applications for this Chief Executive Office role, from those that can clearly demonstrate:
- Senior leadership experience within a membership organization, or an NGO
- Extensive and excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to engage with all, from the Minister to our Members
- Strong and demonstrable advocacy experience
- Proven and strong strategic and organizational management, including financial acumen
- Political and media nous.
Experience and understanding of the education sector is a bonus. As this role is the face, the voice, of its membership and indeed the sector, you must have a high level of comfort, confidence and ability as an excellent communicator and advocate. You will travel regularly to engage with Members and deliver expert guidance in key areas.
