We are looking for a full-time GGP coordinator to join the Economic Affairs / Development Cooperation Division based at our office in Suva.

(Accredited countries: Fiji, Nauru, Tuvalu).

Post Name: GGP Coordinator

Duties:-

The coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks related to the implementation of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security Programme Projects (“GGP”);

Projects process management including:

• Conduct of detailed research on shortlisted GGP applications received for potential projects, ensuring it is aligned to countries’ national priorities and Japan’s development cooperation policies.
• The preparation of necessary documentation, and following the Grant Contract signing ceremonies.
• Project monitoring, provides monthly reports, follow-ups on pending projects, site visits, and preparation for handover ceremonies.
• Drafting official speeches and press releases related to the projects.

The successful candidate should have:-

• At least 3 years’ experience with both private and public stakeholder engagement
• Project management experience
• A firm commitment to economic and social development
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills with people from different backgrounds
• Ability to travel abroad, including remote islands
• High attention to detail
• Japanese language skills (not essential)
