An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly effective leader to become the General Manager of this large and highly successful Council (Fairfield City Council) of the Western Sydney Region. With the retirement of the current GM later in the year Council is seeking a new GM who will continue the current direction, leadership and organizational culture which have been developed and refined over many years.
Fairfield City Council has a collaborative and progressive culture with a proven focus on outcomes. It has over 900 staff and total annual expenditure of $166M.
Job Opportunity for General Manager at Fairfield City Council
Post Name: General Manager
The unique organizational and reporting structure has been developed to ensure a whole of organization focus. Council has six Group Managers who work closely with the two Directors, and combined with the General Manager form the Executive Leadership Team that is responsible for Council’s overall performance and accountable for ensuring the delivery of Council’s commitments in the Operational Plan.
Relevant qualifications and proven experience in a senior leadership role in a complex organization, together with a progressive, collaborative approach are essential requirements for the position.
