The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association is mandated to protect, promote and develop the interests of the tourism industry and the people within the industry through the establishment of standards, adequate training and appropriate legislation recommendations and to promote good relations with all stakeholders in the industry.

Post Name: Executive Officer

The Association is seeking to recruit a mature and a highly motivated Executive Officer to provide a range of high-level executive and support services including providing strategic advice, managing communications and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the Associations’ strategic and operational objectives. The Executive Officer would work closely with the tourism industry, liaise with Government departments and statutory entities and would deputise for the Chief Executive Officer when required.

Essential Attributes:

•  High level of organizational and administrative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Prior experience supporting a senior executive, or in a secretariat role or similar
• Fully competent in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Positive and confident attitude to be able to interact and communicate effectively at all levels
• Proven leadership skills.

Qualification and Experience:

• Degree in a related discipline
• At least three years of work experience in a similar role or in the tourism industry.
