Georgia Ports Authority is seeking candidates for the following position;

Post Name:-Corporate Safety Manager

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:-

Safety is the first value of Georgia Ports and the company strives to ensure Port employees and customers have a safe and efficient environment to work in. Under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Operations and Safety, the Corporate Safety Manager, is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of GPA’s safety standards, policies, programs and culture. Knowledge of the marine terminal operations and Coast Guard, OSHA, NIOSH, and N.F.P.A. codes and standards desired. Must have the ability to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive tactical and strategic safety program.

Ability to supervise and coordinate projects required. Ability to work independently and prepare staff level recommendations and/or presentations required. Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the GPA staff on all levels as well as customers and the general public required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to exercise positive leadership with people required. Working

Four year college degree in Safety Engineering or related field required. Three years of related work experience desired. Prior management experience desired. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes desired.

All positions must meet the criteria for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Valid state driver’s license required.
