Electrical Supervisor Job Vacancy at Goodman Fielder International (Fiji) Pte Limited Suva Fiji

Post Name: Electrical Supervisor

This position will be reporting to the Engineering and Reliability Manager – Livestock and will be based at the Livestock Engineering Office at Lakena, Nausori.

The nature of the role Includes:

• Supervise and direct a team of electricians, assigning tasks, providing guidance and ensuring work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate electrical projects including new installations, upgrades and repairs.
• Carrying out preventative and full plant maintenance to sustain a high level of plant reliability.
• Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability.
• Ensuring equipment is safe and fully operational as per set standards.
• Establishing best engineering practices for the site.

Key skills and attributes required:

• A trade diploma in electrical engineering or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in engineering preferably in an FMCG company
• A valid Electrical Wireman’s license.
• Thorough knowledge and hands on experience with PLC and SCADA control systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A valid group 2 driving license with no demerit points
• Proven experience in coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
