Post Name: Purchasing Officer

The Company is seeking a dynamic, highly competent and experienced person for the position of Purchasing Officer.

Duties:

• Responsible for all purchasing of food ration, chemical, fuel and lubricants, stationaries, and toiletries for all vessels;
• Responsible for all purchasing of all engineering, electrical, and air conditioning supplies and requirements for all ships;
• Responsible for all Overseas purchasing, transfer of funds and custom clearance of cargo;
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices;
• Receive and dispatch stock and maintain stock cards;
• Maintain and upkeep of the Company properties;
• Maintain healthy business relations with all suppliers; and
• Demonstrate good team work in pressurized environments.

Qualification & Experience:
The applicant should have:

• Degree/Diploma in Business & Management with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in a similar role,
• Exceptional IT skills, especially with spreadsheets;
• Excellent written and verbal communication;
• Mature, understanding and exceptional Customer Service skills; and
• Knowledge of shipping industry & ability to work in and as part of a team.
