Haisla Nation Council located in Beautiful Kitimaat Village, has an opening in the community for a Director of Human Resources. This role involves working with the Chief Executive Officer in the development, implementation, and management of all projects to improve human resources systems, practices, contract negotiations, labour relations and resources.

Haisla Nation Council has an immediate opening for a Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications:-

•  University degree in Human Relations, education, or related experience;
• Certified Human Resources Professional designation;
• At least five (5) years of experience in a senior human resources role;
• Proficient in computer and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work in a busy environment and maintain confidentiality;
• Willing and able to pass a Police Information and criminal record check;
• Must possess a valid BC Driver’s license;
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Board regulations;
• Knowledge of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada policies and procedures, Human Rights legislation, Labour Canada regulations, and knowledge of union agreements.
