International Grammar School (IGS) NSW is hiring Director

International Grammar School IGS is a vibrant, secular, co-educational school, situated across five sites in Ultimo and Glebe. Totally there are 1270 students from Preschool to Year 12 being educated in a unique bilingual environment.

From the commencement of Term 3 2020, a newly constructed Bibliotheque will be ready for occupation. It will provide a Preschool to Year 12 library and learning hub to inspire in our students and staff, a deep love of reading and of research, and to build the intellectual life of our School. We are therefore seeking a visionary teacher librarian to be the School’s inaugural Director of the IGS Bibliotheque.

The successful applicant will have experience and success in leading a school, university and/or public library. They will have the capacity to lead and manage the Bibliotheque and have a passion and vision to pioneer expansive, creative and inspiring new programs in reading, research and information literacy that enhance the educational journey of each student.

Reporting directly to the Principal, The Director of the Bibliotheque will work collaboratively with teachers to support and respond to the School’s strategic aspirations for limitless learning, empowered students and a sustainable future.
