Island Health are looking for a contracted childminder to support our Public Health groups.

Post Name: Childminder

Services:

The following services to be provided:

• To provide childminding for a variety of Child Youth Family groups at Princess Royal Family Centre, or other venues when requested by manager/supervisor.
• To collaborate with the other childminders and Child Youth Family team members.
• To ensure the childminding room/s are safe, resources are age appropriate and clean.
• Flexible schedule including evenings.

Qualifications:

1.  ECE preferred
2. Minimum of 3 years experience working with children.
3. Ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and parents.
4. Ability to provide age appropriate activities for infants to kindergarten age children.
5. Use of positive behavior management strategies.
6. Understanding of individual family circumstances and to provide a non-judgemental supportive environment.
7. Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
8. Basic first aid certification
