KPMG client, Douglas Pharmaceuticals Fiji Limited, is a wholly owned subsidiary of New Zealand’s largest Privately Owned Pharmaceutical Company, with a modern Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Research Facility in Nadi, Fiji. The company is seeking to employ an experienced and suitably qualified individual to the position of Finance Manager.
– Reporting to the Site Director, this role will be responsible for the preparation of timely financial information, business case analysis, oversight of group costing, input into strategic pricing, inventory management, strategy development and long term capital planning.

Other key responsibilities include:

•  Oversee the roles and responsibilities of the Costing Analysts. Including training and feedback on the company’s manufacturing and costing process.
• Co-ordination and timely production of annual business plan and budget (comprising statements of financial performance, position and cash flow statements) and 3 year financial forecasts.
• Accounting and control of Fixed Assets and developing financial business cases for replacement, renewal and investment in new capital.
• Regular trend analysis of sales reports, margins, recoveries including reviews of contract manufacturing assignments.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and attending to monthly tax and regulatory compliance matters.
• Regular balance sheet analysis including review of inventory balances with a specific focus on Work in Progress.
• Preparation of annual financial statements including communicating with the external auditors.
• Preparation of timely Board and Management Committee reports, statements of financial performance, position and the co-ordination of variance analysis, and Board Papers as required.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and accounting standards.

Qualifications and experience:

– Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting with at least 5 years experience in a similar role. Proven experience in product costing, inventory management and control. CAPEX business case development and value added analytical review. Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and oral). Proficient with MS packages and advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with ERP & SAP applications is essential. Pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry experience preferred.
