Maitland Private Hospital, Rapidly Growing Organization Unique Opportunity. Maitland Private Hospital is located in the Lower Hunter Valley, less than 30 minutes from Newcastle CBD As the only private hospital between Newcastle and Taree. rt plays an invaluable role in servicing the communities of Maitland. the Lower Hunter and Port Stephens. The hospital has undergone significant development works over the past 3 years, with 156 beds. 6 operating theatres, extensive rehabilitation service including hydrotherapy, and thriving surgical, medical and mental health wards. We are shortly due to commission an Intensive Care Unit to support the hospitals other services, and meet the growing need of the community.

– This role reports directly to Tim Yeoh. Chief Operating Officer Acute Services, and is primarily responsible for the overall strategic direction of the hospitals’ operations.

Post Name: Chief Executive Officer

The key core areas for this role are business development with a focus on doctor engagement, recruitment and relationship building and service development including strategic planning. marketing and operational planning. The applicant will also need to be able to demonstrate skills in workforce planning and human resource management. An understanding of clinical Governance and Quality systems is also desirable.

The role will require:-

•  A minimum of 5 years senior management experience.
• A demonstrated ability to develop sound working relationships with VMO’s and GPs
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing teams
• Ability to understand and manage within a clear financial framework
• Regular preparation of detailed reports on hospital performance
• A sound understanding and practical experience in human resource management
• Demonstrated experience in complex problem solving and ability to work under pressure
• Completed or working towards a business or management qualification
• Experience in strategic clinical service planning and implementation of new services would be desirable.
