The Financial Services section of the Finance Department provides the services of financial reporting, business planning, budget preparation, financial advice, treasury, taxation, rates administration, statutory compliance for financial related matters and financial processing functions.
The Team Leader Rating will be involved in all things rating for the Marlborough District Council. You will ensure the rating invoices (the largest percentage of income for the council) are produced accurately, ensure excellent customer service, and provide leadership within the rates team.

We are looking for someone with five to ten years’ administration experience in rating, accounting, or a related field. This experience will be coupled with the following attributes:

  • Excellent leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Good organizational skills and can meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy including finance systems.
  • Credit control and debt collection experience.
