Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Define the business strategies plan and associate annual business plan, and agree these with CEO.
2. Represent the company to clients, government authorities, and the oil & gas industry.
3. Actively seek to grow the company through liaising with potential clients and group partnership with existing clients.
4. Develop and implement the approved strategic plan for company emphasizing financial discipline, growth and Health. Safety and Environment (HSE).
5. Lead the entire team on day to day Oversight all company functions to ensure company is operating on financially disciplined, cost effective, efficient and aligned to overall strategies
6. Guide and direct senior staff on financial responsibilities, commercial issues, staff motivation, customers, budget, company assets and other resources for maximum profitability, growth and company sustainability.
7. Drive the initiative of building corporate governance to ensure organization has proper control and maintain compliance with statutory and keep highest ethics in the organization as well as corporate social responsibilities;
8. Fulfil all motivational roles to key staff so as to encourage co-operations and team work, build and maintain staff morale and stand at high levels and ensure a sustainable strong sense of staff identity with sense of allegiance to the company.
9. Regularly update CEO on activities and other matters affecting the company.
10. Initiate and implement change to build a financially disciplined, safe, profitable and sustainable growing business.
11. Develop a national workforce in the respective countries of operations;
12. Establish company structure, staff and operational /social ethos reflecting the national aspiration for Organization and in country value (ICV).
Principle Challenges:
1. Delivering a strong bottom line financial performance in a tight market.
2. Maintaining compliances verification certificate (CVC) with the challenges of limited Omani skill pool.
3. Retaining key Personnel and high performing employees within the organization against very attractive external Job opportunities in the drilling industry.
Minimum Academic’ Professional Qualification:
1 Graduate/ post Graduate in Engineering/ Finance/ Management From a reputed university/ college.
2 Membership of professional Associations in Oil and Gas.
Minimum Work Experience:
Total of 20 years of work experience including at least 10 years in related Drilling and Work over operations, general management with proven experience in managing people and accountability for profit and loss.
Skills & Competencies Required:
– Thorough knowledge of the oil and gas contracting industry.
– Informed of the political, social, economic and technological factors affecting the oil and gas, and drilling industry
– Excellent skills in financial discipline, management, leadership, business and strategic planning, organizational. Financial as well as management performance.
– Skill commitment to health, safety and environment.
– Leadership Skills in a fast moving organization in a rapidly developing economy
– Project Management.
– Able to communicate in Arabic and English – both written and spoken
– Strong interpersonal skills, team management
– Strong reasoning and analytical skills
– Skilled in IT effectiveness tools
