NAVFAC Far East was established on 30 July 2004, as part of the global NAVFAC transformation in support of the Chief of Naval Operations Sea Enterprise initiative. The transformation was completed with the integration of eight Far East Public Works Departments.

Salary starts from: S$34,383

Reports directly to the Public Works Officer and is responsible for managing the Public Works financial records accurately and up to date, processing and generating all funding documents, making credit card purchases and supporting the general office administration and record keeping requirements. Provides financial management services for the Public Works Officer through continuous monitoring and tracking of the numerous funding sources for each of the following Public Works programs. Manages and maintains department files and important historical documents. Updates files when necessary and ensures relevant documents are retained. This includes all office correspondence (internal and external), technical documents such as work statements, engineering estimates, contractor
proposals
and other contract specific files and engineering supporting data to include drawings and property records. Provides secretarial services directly to the Public Works Officer for administrative and management support.
