NMVL Natural Waters of Viti Pte Ltd the company began in 1995 when Canadian hotelier David Gilmour founded and established this company (Kaplan, 2007). Gilmour began the operation when he noticed that clients at his hotels were often drinking imported water when he believed that a unique local source could be found in Fiji that would provide a marketable variety (Connell, 2006;McMaster and Nowak, 2002).

Post Name: Process Lead Continuous Improvement

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and motivated professional to step into the position of Process Lead Continuous Improvement. If you have a strong commitment to refining processes, optimizing efficiency, and minimizing wastage, then this role offers an exceptional opportunity for you. This role is located in Yaqara.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Leads the Continuous Improvement initiatives, which encompass: identifying existing business processes, analyzing areas for improvements., managing the continuous improvement database, presenting solutions to respective Head of Departments, assisting the line manager in achieving NWVL’s WOW/Continuous Improvement (CI) goals, taking charge of NWVL’s Continuous Improvement initiatives including critical projects and coaching, training the workforce on WOW processes and related Continuous Improvement initiatives/programs, conducting audits and evaluations of new processes for efficiencies and further enhancements.
  • Provides an analysis of said solution with recommendations to ease decision making.
  • Monitors, Coaches, and trains employees on simplified processes including basics of leveraging Microsoft product usage, WOW 101 and WOW 201 as required and WOW projects to completion.
  • Ensures the implementation and optimization of performance.
  • Monitors the system performance for optimal output.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves ongoing issues at different sites.
  • Develops new strategies and procedures to increase efficiencies and enhance workflow.
  • Acts as the focal point for all Continuous Improvement related initiatives, including working with different Directors to help them realize their Continuous Improvement goals.
  • Coordinates and facilitates training of employees on new systems and manages the Continuous Improvement databases.
  • Audits and reviews business processes and systems for improvements.
  • Creates user guides, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Performs any other administrative tasks as specified by the line Manager or in his/her absence acts as the department leader.
  • Supports organizational philanthropic, quality, and environmental initiatives and models Company’s core values: Do What’s Right; Working Together; Nourish and Develops; Adapt and Grow.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in managing business systems and processes/ process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has experience in database management.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and or six sigma.
  • Has experience in fast manufactured consumer goods (FMCG).
  • Able to work under minimum supervision and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Valid Driving license.
  • Experience in creating strategic PowerPoint decks.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Delivering a full range of occupational health, safety, and environment services to the business.
  • Implementing a safe work environment by leading safety focused culture, best practices, and ensuring compliance with country and company legislation.
  • Implementing safety by facilitating training and development program, audits, mentoring, employee involvement, and observation (Behavior Based Safety) for the business.
  • Establishing regular contacts with relevant local authorities relating to Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of current regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure the company is in compliance with new and updated regulations.
  • Updating and maintaining key performance indicator (KPI) reports and hazard logs.
  • Facilitating and coordinating audits as required, including but not limited to the company’s internal 7s program, Construction safety audit, plant safety audit, chemical audit, machine safety guards and ergonomics audit, respiratory program audit, Boiler room audit, lab safety audit, noise monitoring, Fire safety audit, gas monitoring, lifting equipment checks, project completion on safety audits and ensures corrective action items are closed by the respective departments.
  • Developing and maintaining strong communication with all departments with the goal of zero incidents.
  • Other initiatives as and when required.
  • Supports organisational philanthropic, quality, and environmental initiatives and models Company’s core values: Do What’s Right; Working Together; Nourish and Develops; Adapt and Grow.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Form 7 pass.
  • Qualification in occupational health and safety or equivalent in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in environmental compliance or management in the Food Manufacturing industry, safety, fire prevention, industrial hygiene, or related field.
  • Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft package including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in using any safety software or ERP.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
  • Valid Group 2,6,7,9 manual licenses.
  • Completed Training of Trainers Module 1.
  • Registered Resource Person / Trainer with FNU.
