The NRW Companies has undertaken an impressive range of project management, structural and civil engineering, water design and construction supervision projects, electrical and mechanical, waste water engineering projects in the south pacific and other countries and have particular experience in the design, project management and construction oversight of multiple projects. With more than fifty years of experience in the pacific and past experiences in Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa, Nauru, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and PNG.

Job Description:

The work responsibility may include;

  1. Coordinate, monitor and inspect construction works carried out by the contractor for projects on behalf of NRW Macallan (Fiji) limited.
  2. Review contract documents, architectural drawings and specifications in order to maintain familiarity with Projects and ensure full understanding of project documents and requirements.
  3. Assist NRW Project Manager with documenting day to day activities of an active construction site.
  4. Prepare and maintain communications and documentation with NRW Project Manager and contractor.
  5. Conduct on-site observation and spot-checks of work in progress as Instructed by NRW Project Manager’s.
  6. Conduct Geotechnical testing as required.
  7. Obtain, update, organise and maintain construction database on progress of works for NRW Project Manager.
  8. Assist in coordinating contractor and NRW inspections.
  9. Ensure work compliance by contractor as specified in contract document, which includes providing test results, installation of approved materials and equipment’s.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of corporate information, policies and procedures.
  11. Uphold and adhere to corporate policies to ensure a clean and safe workplace, and enforcement of OHS requirements.
  12. Client-facing experience preferred with good Interpersonal skill to develop, maintain and enhance client relationship.
  13. Excellent communication skills both written and oral, problem solving, planning and time management skills.
  14. A proactive and collaborative attitude.
  15. Understanding of Australian and New Zealand industry standards highly regarded.
  16. Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  17. Be responsible for leading and delivering projects on time, budget and to a high standard.
  18. Lateral thinker, agile and a self-motivated.
  19. Have absolute integrity to be responsible and work independently.
  20. Must be available to travel.

Qualification:
Suitable candidate to poses Diploma or Bachelors in Civil Engineering, and demonstrate entry level experience in civil and structural discipline.
