Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd. is the first Manganese Ferroalloy plant to be built in Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu. The plant occupies a total area of 180h.a and is expected to start production in second quarter of 2015. We expect to reach full production capacity of 350,000 tonnes per annum in fourth quarter of 2016. The end-products will be also for the local market and exported to world-wide countries like Korea, Japan, Europe, U.S. etc. To cope with our business development, we are now inviting high calibre candidates to be part of the pioneer group.

Finance Advisors, Technical Advisors Job Openings at Pertama Ferroalloys Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia

We are seeking for suitable candidates to fill in the following posts:

Position 1: Corporate Finance Advisors

Responsibilities:-

As an Advisors to Pertama Management for the following corporate finance scopes:

• Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives;
• Maintains ferroalloys market awareness of industry tends, opportunities and turns:
• Prepares and presents financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial documentation.
• Works with the Controller to establish controls and metrics;
• Provides executive management with recommendations on the financial implications of business operations and activities;
• Provides timely and accurate reporting of operational metres and key performance indicators to drive business growth and profitability;
• Leads the development and execution of an annual operating plan that fully supports the company’s strategic plan and annual budget
• Leads efforts to refine and implement profitability management processes, inducing utilization metrics and expense control at the operating unit level;
• Identifies operational roadblocks in advance and adjusts accordingly to successfully achieve objectives on time;
• Continues improvement of short and long-term strategic objectives of each department under Non-Operations
• Responsible to provide executive management to full spectrum of Finance & Accounts Department
• Responsible for Commercial Advisors
• Leads research & development to recognize opportunities for business change, communicates them persuasively to Pertama Management
• Assists day to day in resolving complex commercial problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommends smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) solutions

Requirements: –

• Minimum a degree in business administration, finance and manufacturing related.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferable some with exposure in procurement materials management & production operations.
• Strong business English proficiency with solid presentation skills.

Position 2: Corporate Technical Advisors

Responsibilities:-

• Drive and makes smart recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of the overall Plant Performance, overall Profitability and Control Factory Operations Cost.
• Coaches and leads others in acquiring knowledge, provides expert advice and technical skills to Factory Operations Management Team:
• Production
• Warehouse
• Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment
• As a Technical Advisor for any company projects.
• Leads research & development to recognize opportunities for business change, communicates them persuasively to Pertama Management.
• Assists day to day in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommends smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) solutions.

Requirements: –

• Bachelor Degree in mechanical, manufacturing or relevant professional qualification
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience in furnace manufacturing industry High knowledge of technical manufacturing skills
• Strong business English proficiency with solid presentation skills.
