Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd. is the first Manganese Ferroalloy plant to be built in Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu. The plant occupies a total area of 180h.a and is expected to start production in second quarter of 2015. We expect to reach full production capacity of 350,000 tonnes per annum in fourth quarter of 2016. The end-products will be also for the local market and exported to world-wide countries like Korea, Japan, Europe, U.S. etc. To cope with our business development, we are now inviting high calibre candidates to be part of the pioneer group.

Assistant Deputy General Manager Job Vacancy at Pertama Ferroalloys Bintulu Sarawak Malaysia

We are seeking for suitable candidates to fill in the following posts:

Position 1: Assistant Deputy General Manager – Production

Responsibilities: –

• Direct report to the Deputy General Manager, this position manages the Production Division-FeSi, SiMn, Sinter Plant, GCP, and FeMn department.
• Work closely with management’s team and functional leaders to develop business directions and strategies for the company.
• Develops plans, strategies and tactics to achieve goals and targets.
• Ensures all business activities aligned with company strategies, objectives and plans.
• Responsible for monitoring departmental performance, maintain operational excellence and financial & business performance.
• Build team capability by designing, administrating and implementing team member training, coaching and development programs.
• Responsible for the overall profitability and productivity of Production Department
• Manage and supervise Production Team to meet the production targets and Key Performance Indices (KPI)
• Lead production team to ensure equipment are operated effectively and according to standardized standards and safety procedures.
• Assist the Deputy General Manager to manage and control manufacturing cost
• Coach and develop subordinates’ management and technical cost.

Requirements: –

• Bachelor Degree in mechanical, manufacturing or relevant professional qualification
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience in ferroalloys industry
• High knowledge of technical manufacturing skills

The positions will be based in Samalaju Industrial Park, Bintulu.
