Sarawak Land Development Board (SLDB) is a statutory body of Sarawak State Government entrusted to promote growth in the agriculture sector, to optimize returns to stakeholders and act as catalyst to upgrade the living standard of rural communities. We wish to invite highly enthusiastic and motivated individuals to fill the position of;

Sarawak Land Development Post Name:- General Manager

The Job:-

As the General Manager, you will advance the organization to a level of excellence & achievement to achieve the organization’s mission, vision and objectives as approved by the Board and Minister in charged. Working with the Management team, you will provide inspirational leadership balancing internal & external demands of you. You will provide leadership, direction & execution of key activities.

Other key responsibilities include;-

•  Provide thought leadership to the Management team
• Long Term/Medium Term & Short Term Planning Strategic Plans
• Establish plans, budgets, allocating resources, measurements and review processes
• Establish policies in human resources management and development, project management and production, procurement, marketing field, technical services and practices
• Develop and maintain strategies to improve overall quality and productivity of organization
• Financial management of the organization
• Build organization image by collaborating with both Federal and State government and its agencies

Requirements:-

The General Manager should be a seasoned strategic leader with strong drive and work ethic. He or she will be a driver of results and will have the passion to build and create a legacy The General Manager will set the vision for the organization and drive the business to greater heights Other expectations;

•  Minimum University Degree in any discipline. A holder of a Master in Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage
• Preference for a candidate with at least 15 years of management experience
• Strong command in finance and budgeting
• A people leader who is passionate about coaching and developing the next line of leaders
• High work ethic, intuition & holds accountability for ones action
• Strong communication skills
• An effective problem solver
• Strong ability in developing key relationships with both internal & external stakeholders
• Well versed with current regulations, Ordinance & other related regulatory requirements affecting the statutory body

Remuneration:-

To commensurate with qualification and experience.
