Shangri-la Yanuca Island, Fiji is set on a 109-acre private island with a causeway connecting it to the mainland making it the largest private island resort in Fiji with 443 elegant guest rooms, five restaurants and three bars and event facilities to cater up to 800 guests.

Post Name: Service Manager – Food & Beverage

The Service Manager is responsible for the operation, management, and overall performance of the outlet operations. As such the Service Manager will be directly involved in the day-to-day running of these areas in connection with staffing, customer services and product quality. Delegation of duties and responsibilities to his/her assistants is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of all phases of F&B service in the areas under the Service Manager control.

The Service Manager is to implement all standardized procedures, rules, and regulations systematically to be in line with hotel standards and policies. It should be noted that Service Manager can be designated in charge of any area at any time and therefore must have a full and comprehensive working knowledge of all areas within the Food & Beverage Division.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Certificate IV in Hospitality Supervision or other relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 2-3 years’ work experience in a similar position.
  • Thorough knowledge of all Food & Beverage functions/operations.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Well versed with computer systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
