Shore seeks to appoint an outstanding and experienced educational leader to the position of Head of Christian Studies commencing in January 2021.

The Christian Studies Department plays a pivotal role in the academic and spiritual life of the school. The Head of Christian Studies has responsibility for the teaching of Christian Studies Stage 4, 5 and 6 along with HSC Studies of Religion. Experience teaching HSC Studies of Religion is preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will be well-qualified and have academic and administration strengths as well as being able to build relational trust in a team environment. The successful applicant will also need to be able to articulate and model an excellent understanding of pedagogy, along with being an exemplary classroom practitioner

The successful applicant will be expected to take part in the School’s extensive co-curricular programme and to have an active Christian faith given the nature of the position and the support required for the School’s Christian purpose.
