Post Name: Data Engineer

The Job

• To support the fast-growing data analytics function, we are looking for a bright and competent data engineer. You will be working with a team of analytics specialists and data scientists to develop data products for more intelligent operations and to solve real-life problems. You will be helping to shape data platforms and data products for the core media business and other adjacencies.
• The team is highly diversified with members from completely different backgrounds, but we all believe in systematic approaches and we are always open to new solutions. We are constantly looking for new ideas and converting them into actions. The ideal candidate will possess relevant technical skills and be very resourceful Being comfortable with exploring the unknown is a must for this role as technology is evolving so quickly and we are supporting analytics for vastly different lines of business.

Requirements of Data Engineer

• Proven ability to build scalable and reliable batch and streaming data pipelines for production-grade data products/platforms.
• Experience with creating APIs to connect and integrate analytical stacks to application layers.
• Highly experienced with SQL Good experience with Python or other script languages. Comfortable with deploying working scripts on Windows/Linux server.
• Familiar with ETL processes and workflow tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Familiar with storage, data management, ETL tool/services from Amazon Web Services such as Glue, Redshift.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly in BigQuery and other data related services, is a plus.
• Experience with ModelOps., DevOps, ML and NLP is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills – able to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly efficient and able to work independently with good time management.

Post Name: Senior Product Designer
SPH Product Design Team is looking for a Senior Product designer with Visual and UX skills. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and the design team, helping the teams to arrive to solid design strategies and choosing appropriate design frameworks, execute on research, ideation and UX / creative delivery. He/She will also work in collaboration with the design researchers to conduct user research, validate product design hypothesis and support various growth hacking initiatives.

The Job

• Own design problems end to end, from initial concept through shipping and beyond
• Create Quick prototypes to solve difficult UX problems
• Design systems to deliver simple, elegant experiences to complex problems
• Drive complex projects toward clarity and resolution with effective UX documentation
• Experience designing for iOS, Android and web along with a good knowledge of HCI principles
• Attend and actively participate in daily stand-up, grooming, planning, and sprint retrospective meetings
• Work closely with product owners and key stakeholders to define goals, road maps and product requirements
• Strong advocacy for the user with product managers and stakeholders to bring to life the best possible user experience

Requirements of Senior Product Designer

• 6+ years of UX or Product Design experience

• Expertise in using design and prototyping tools including Sketch, Figma and InVision.
• Best-in-class UX deliverables (Concepts, User journey, Workflows etc.)
• You should be an Individual Contributor
• You have good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills

Post Name: UX Researcher
As a UX Researcher, you will help SPH develop greater insights into the needs and desires of our customer in order to create and improve out online products. The role involves interfacing with customers of our digital products, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, and keeping up to date with the best practices in user experience research.

The Job

• To carry out qualitative and quantitative research on SPH digital products
• To conduct user interviews, usability tests, and other research activities with our customers
• To translate research findings into actionable recommendations
• To take document research activities, including transcribing interviews
• To recruit suitable participants for user research activities
• To present research findings to stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with designers, product managers, engineering teams and other stakeholders supporting our product development efforts.

Requirements of UX Researcher

• Has at least 2 years’ experience in conducting user interviews and usability tests
• Able to carry out both qualitative and quantitative research independently
• Experienced in independently recruiting users for research activities
• Adept in interpreting Google Analytics
• Highly proficient in English.
• Has working proficiency in a second language (Chinese, Malay or Tamil)
• Enthusiastic about research in general, and UX research in particular
• Experience in the integration of consumer research into a Business’s product design practice
• Independent, fast worker
• Patient disposition
