Job recruitment for Engineering Technician Temporary Maintenance Assistants at SPH Singapore

We invite you to be part of this team and join us as:

Post Name: Engineering Technician (Mechanical)
(Based at SPH Print Centre, 2 Jurong Port Road)

The Job:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot and repair of state-of-the-art printing press machinery up to components level, and any other operational duties as assigned
• Carry out basic machining work on lathes and milling machines

Engineering Technician Requirements:

• At least a Higher NITEC, Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) preferred.
• Good knowledge of general maintenance of testing tools and instruments such as lathes and milling machines
• Ability to work on rotating shifts
• Willingness to work overtime
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
• Good at Mathematics and an eye for details

Post Name: Temporary Maintenance Assistants (6-Month Contract)
(Based at SPH Print Centre, 2 Jurong Port Road)

The Job:

• Assist in dismantling and re-installation of printing rollers, unit’s guards, trays, motors and other machinery parts
• Washing/ cleaning of ink guards, Ink trough and ink trays with cleaning solvent
• Cleaning of rollers, machine guards, printing units and other machinery parts
• Working hours are 8 am to 5 pm or 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on 5-day week from Monday to Sunday

Temporary Maintenance Assistants Requirements:

• Some working experience in a manufacturing plant
• Those with basic engineering skills would have an added advantage
• Ability to lift and move heavy machinery parts, and ability to work in a tight working space
• Ability to work in factory environment with cleaning solvent and inks

Company transport will be provided from Clementi and Jurong East MRT stations to and from the plant.
