Customer Experience Officers, Engineering Assistant job vacancies at SPH

Post Name: Customer Experience Officers (Contact Centre)
We seek suitably qualified candidates who are keen to pursue a career in contact centre customer service to join our Customer Experience Team.

The Job of Customer Experience Officers

• Attend to phone-in enquiries and feedback on newspaper and magazine subscriptions, promotions and delivery issues
• Guide subscribers on digital publications
• Handle email correspondences
• Manage customer relationship through effective follow-up and appropriate resolutions
• Able to interact with customers on digital support channels in a professional and timely manner.

Customer Experience Officers Requirements

• Diploma with one year of customer service experience preferably in a call centre environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to converse in Mandarin with our Chinese speaking subscribers
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Familiar with social media channels and platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, chat bots)
• Tech savvy, creative thinking and resilient
• Passionate about customer service

Working hours of Customer Experience Officers

• Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm. Overtime may be required on weekdays during the subscription drive.
• Required to work on Saturday or Sunday from 8.30am to 12.30pm (approximate 3 times in 8 weeks)

Post Name: Engineering Technician (Facilities/ Properties)
(Based at SPH Print Centre, 2 Jurong Port Road)

The Job of Engineering Assistant

• Carry out facilities operations and maintenance work
• Conduct routine check of M&E equipment (eg. ACMV system, electrical system, cooling tower) and Fire alarm system
• Inspect and supervise the works carried out by M&E and Fire alarm system contractors

Engineering Assistant Requirements

• At least a Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred
• Relevant experience in building and M&E services maintenance is advantageous
• Basic knowledge in PLC / SCADA programming is advantageous
• Good knowledge of general maintenance of testing tools and instruments
• Familiar with MS Office applications
• Able to work on rotating shifts
• Must be physically fit and a willingness to work overtime
• On-the-job training will be provided

Singapore Press Holdings SPH is recruiting Material Handler, Maintenance Assistants

Post Name: Material Handler (1-Year Contract)
(Based at SPH Print Centre, 2 Jurong Port Road)

The Job of Material Handler

• Assist in all aspects of the day to day newspaper printing operations, including receiving, storage, issuing and disposal of the newsprint rolls and any other printing materials
• Assist in the control of stocks in the printing plant
• Assist in the stocktaking exercise conducted by either internal or external auditor
• Coordinate with other sections or departments on matters related to materials planning
• Maintain and calibrate forklift equipment and coordinate with vendors for repairs
• Ability to generate simple report or data for reporting
• Ability to work 6 days per week including Saturday from 8am to 5pm

Material Handler Job Requirements

• Ability to work on rotating shifts and weekends
• Ability to operate a forklift, with valid forklift license
• Ability to speak and write basic English
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must be physically fit

Post Name: Maintenance Assistants (6-Month Contract)
(Based at SPH Print Centre, 2 Jurong Port Road)

The Job of Maintenance Assistants

• Assist in dismantling and re-installation of printing rollers, unit’s guards, trays, motors and other machinery parts
• Washing/cleaning of ink guards, ink trough and ink trays with cleaning solvent
• Cleaning of rollers, machine guards, printing units and other machinery parts
• 5-day work week, Mondays to Sundays. 2 off days per week which may not be on weekends.
• Working hours are 8 am to 5 pm or 8.30 am to 5.30 pm

Maintenance Assistants Requirements

• Some working experience in a manufacturing plant
• Those with basic technical engineering skills would have an added advantage
• Physically fit, able to lift and move heavy machinery parts, and ability to work in a tight working space
• Ability to work in factory environment with cleaning solvent and inks

Company transport will be provided from Clementi and Jurong East MRT stations to and from SPH Print Centre.
