Sydney Grammar School Edgecliff Preparatory School is currently seeking a well-qualified and motive candidate for the Teacher-Librarian position commencing in January 2019.

Edgecliff Preparatory School is part of Sydney Grammar School; a secular school for boys. The Preparatory School is currently seeking a well-qualified and motivated candidate for the following position:

Grammar boys love reading and the Library plays a crucial role in supporting boys and teachers in their learning. Our Library is integral to the development of literacy throughout the School.

Post Name: Teacher Librarian

– This is a full-time appointment and the successful candidate will be required to teach library lessons from K-6, be familiar with automated library systems, possess highly developed interpersonal skills, work alongside teachers to develop and deliver inquiry-based programmes and create a vibrant and welcoming environment where the love of reading and literature is always encouraged and promoted.

– The Teacher-Librarian will also be required to lead the School’s highly successful Debating programme (during the week and on Friday evenings), as well as assist in the editing and publication of the School’s annual magazine.
