This is our entry-level position. Being the right kind of person, who is willing to learn and work with the team, is more important than experience as full training will be provided as necessary to develop and sustain necessary skills and competencies.
You will be part of a busy fuelling and logistics services operation in a fuel depot and wharf management environment. After training, you will be involved in the operation of all installation machinery, equipment, pipeline(s), handling of large fuelling hoses and some routine maintenance tasks on buildings and infrastructure. In addition, you will carry out other duties as required, including assisting other members of the team.
You must be a team worker, physically and medically fit, prepared to wear breathing apparatus and work in confined spaces. You must be able to perform manual handling tasks (once trained) and to use fixed ladders to climb tanks (so not afraid of heights). You must also be willing to work paid overtime at short notice with occasional 12 hour shifts.

Essential:

• Minimum Class 3 driving license.
• Good command of written and spoken English language.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility to changing priorities.
• Good team player who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and has good on-the-job problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Relevant experience in an operational or engineering environment within the petroleum or similar industry would be an advantage between otherwise comparable candidates.
