UNDP United Nations Development Programme requires Environment Analysts

UNDP is the United Nations’ global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP Office in Malaysia was established in 1961 and we work closely with the Government and a range of stakeholders.

To support the country programme, we have several exciting professional positions which will be part of the Programme team. These positions will be based in Putrajaya and other duty station within Malaysia depending on assignment or project. Three of the positions are:

Post Name:- Environment Analysts

1. Environment Analyst (Biodiversity and Ecosystems)
2. Environment Analyst (Climate Change and Energy)
3. Environment Analyst (Chemicals and Ozone Protection)

These challenging positions will suit dynamic applicants who are self-motivated, with strong technical knowledge, good communication skills (both oral and written), well-organized and able to work independently. She /He is also expected to have strong project management skills and is results oriented. The successful applicants will report to the Head of Sustainable and Resilient Development.

Requirements:-

•  Master’s degree with minimum three (3) years’ experience or minimum five (5) years with Bachelors’ degree of relevant experience at the national and/or international level;
• Proven experience in conducting research, analysis and generating reports;
• Working experience with private sector is preferable.
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc ) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages;
• Working knowledge in statistical software programmes such as GraphPad Prism, SPSS, etc an added advantage:-
• Fluency in written and oral English and Malay.
