Chauffeur job opening at U.S. Embassy Muscat
The U.S. Embassy in Muscat is seeking qualified candidates for the below position:
Post Name: Chauffeur
Operates a motor vehicle in accordance with the Supervisor’s instructions to transport Embassy and / or associated agency personnel and official visitors within the city and surrounding areas. Completes trip tickets and other daily vehicle records. Delivers documents, collects diplomatic pouches and other materials from sea / air cargo points. Employee will lift mail pouches, cargo, and other required items. May need to operate vehicles in motorcades for official visits.
Education: Completion of elementary school required.
Experience: Three years licensed driver with full-time professional chauffeur experience, driving delivery vehicle or public transportation.
Language: Level II (basic knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required. Level I (rudimentary) Speaking/Reading/Writing of Arabic is required. (This will be tested).
