Vaagen Fibre Canada sawmill is seeking candidates for the position of Red Seal Millwright for our Midway, BC operation. Our mill is located in the beautiful and picturesque Boundary Country – 45 minutes from Grand Forks to the east and Osoyoos to the west. As an employee, you will be directly responsible for providing leadership, safe maintenance; repair, installation and modification of all sawmill related equipment.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Be able to:-

•  Lead apprentices in daily preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven leadership skills.
• Must be willing to do shift work and overtime hours. Experience in mechanical component rebuilding.
• Experience in machinery installation & rigging and capable of heavy lifting and working at heights
• Own basic mill wrighting tools and capable of managing multiple projects on a timely basis.
• Sawmill experience is an asset and will be given priority.
