Job Descriptions:
Our Board is seeking a new Director to fill a vacancy. We are a “skills” based Board and are currently looking for a seasoned individual who can play a key role in guiding the future of WDI. You will have an opportunity to make a major contribution to culture, values and positive results of the Corporation.
In addition to independence of judgment and integrity, the general qualifications of candidates may include:

• Experience on Boards of significant Corporations;
• Experience in, or understanding of, best practice principles associated with organizational structure, processes, account abilities and decision making.
• Knowledge of current governance issues and trends;
• Financial, legal and accounting experience;
• Experience in the energy sector or related industry;
• Public policy issues;
• Risk Management oversight;
• Human Resources and organizational development;
• General Business Experience.
  Specific qualifications being sought are:

• Specific knowledge of the Electricity Sector in Ontario and the policies and issues relating to it
• Legal understanding of corporate and regulatory organizations;
• Experience in, or understanding of, oversight and development of the strategic planning process and associated plans.
