Weida Integrated Industries job vacancy for Design Engineer and Safety Advisor

Weida Integrated Industries Sdn. Bhd. (168925-U), a subsidiary of Weida (M) Bhd, specializes in the manufacturing of polyethylene products. We are looking for enthusiastic, result-oriented and highly motivated local residents to join us for the following positions:

Post Name: Design Engineer

Requirements:

1. At least a Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Design Engineering with CGPA 3.5 and above
2. Possess working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid Works software is mandatory
3. Fluent in written and conversational English. Well-verse in engineering drawings and specifications and its interpretation
4. Must have 5 years or more working experience in plastics manufacturing industry
5. Must have strong understanding of Mathematics and strong mechanical aptitude
6. Possess working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and safety guidelines
7. Must have strong verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
8. Able to work independently, be self-motivated, has strong sense of responsibility, a creative problem solver
9. Must possess a technical and hands on approach to problem solving
10. Carry out engineering design, preparing drawings in accordance to the project’s requirement as and when necessary, perform engineering calculations, analysis and design

Post Name: Industrial Safety Advisor

Requirements:

1. Must be physically fit
2. Able to analyze the root cause of hazard and establish the safety operating procedure
3. At least 5 years of working experience in Safety Management field is required for this position
4. Preferably candidates specializing in Security/Armed Forces / Protective Services or equivalent with crime investigation background
5. Must be a self-starter and has strong organizational and management skills
6. Strong leadership skills and able to train, lead and supervise a large contingent of security personnel
7. Well-verse with security, safety and fire-fighting systems and procedures
8. Must be willing to work on shift / public holidays / weekends
