Wenona School seeks to appoint an outstanding Business Manager to join our thriving day and boarding School, which has remained at the forefront of girls’ education since its establishment in 1886.

Working closely with the Principal, Dr Briony Scott and the Chief Operating Officer. Mr Andrew Leake, this pivotal role will drive operational initiatives to improve the business operations of the School, supporting future growth and sustainability into the future

Post Name:- Business Manager

The Business Manager is responsible for the overall business administration of the School. They have professional and personal attributes that enable them to influence others to improve their practice. They have responsibility for the School’s financial and business operations, exercising sound and critical judgement in leading a multi-disciplined Business Services team that supports the strategic direction of the School.

Areas of responsibility and influence include: leadership and management of staff, Finance, Business Office Operations, Compliance, the financial operations of Property and IT, ancillary services (Theatre, Uniform Shop) and key supplier relationships (OSHC, cafe, etc.).

The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build a team and appreciate the complexities of a large Independent School. Strong financial management skills, understanding of risk and compliance, and school and corporate governance are essential to the role, as well as related tertiary qualifications and accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
