Cougar Shipyard & Engineering Sdn. Bhd, are established Shipping Company based in Miri. Sarawak and we are seeking a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

Post Name: Safety & Health Officer (Sho)
Responsibilities:

• Perform as Safety & Health Officer (SHO) under Malaysian (DOSH) Regulations in a shipyard in Miri.
• Develop, coordinate and supervise the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive occupational health and safety program designed to prevent injury, occupational illness, and damage to property and cause no harm to environment.
• As a focal point in all HSE related matter in the Shipyard including maintaining the ISO9001 and OHSAS 18001 for the Shipyard.
  Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years professional experience in HSE: preferably in the Shipyard industry.
• NIOSH trained and passed the SHO Examination or equivalent.
• DOSH Registered SHO is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited college or university with major course work in industrial engineering, safety engineering, occupational health, or a closely related field.
• Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia – both written & spoken.
• Computer literate.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
