Tautoko Mai Sexual Harm Support is a for-purpose, non-profit organisation established in 2010 and governed by a Board of Trustees. The organisation delivers services across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions. Our purpose is to support all people and communities affected by sexual harm towards wellbeing through healing, education, and prevention. This is the heart of what we do. We are striving to create a society that is free from sexual harm and violence, and we are supported by a highly skilled team of Counsellors, Social Workers, Psychologists, Nurses and Doctors who support and care for our clients and their families. The Tautoko Mai Board of Directors comprises leaders from the non-profit and business sectors who arc dedicated to the supporting and promoting Tautoko Mai’s
mission and vision. The Board members will steer the organisation to a sustainable future through sound ethical, legal, and financial management policies and ensure Tautoko Mai has adequate resources to advance its mission.
Our Board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and believe that each and every organisation needs a strong and effective board to fully realise its potential. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a Board member, our Board members are active advocates and ambassadors supporting the ongoing need for sexual harm services in our communities and are fully engaged in identifying and securing resources and partnerships necessary for Tautoko Mai to advance its mission.
Serving on Tautoko Mai Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for individuals who are passionate about strengthening Tc Ao Maori leadership and governance in the non-profit sector. Tautoko Mai hold monthly board meetings, either in person or via Zoom, and would like a commitment from each Board member to serve a minimum term of two years.

Tautoko Mai is an organisation that is currently experiencing fast growth and we are looking for professionals who have skills and knowledge in this area and can bring their expertise and understanding to Tautoko Mai and contribute to its development.

Positions Available

Post Name: Kaiarahi
Tautoko Mai are on an intentional journey in Te Ao Maori to influence and transform how we engage in our work within our communities to ensure authenticity in establishing a strong Kaupapa. This role requires previous high level experience working alongside or within a Kaupapa Maori context, and will act as a guide for our interactions within that setting. A genuine intent to embrace Te Ao Maori frameworks and their foundational impact will be key to this role.

Tautoko Mai are looking for a Chartered Accountant join the Board to provide financial oversight. This role will require experience in accounting and finance to analyse statements, assess financial viability, contribute to financial planning, and oversee funding arrangements.

Post Name: IT Specialist
Tautoko Mai are seeking a technology specialist with knowledge of IT governance including privacy, data management and security. This role needs to balance the current and future organisational requirements, ensure the feasibility of investment in IT projects, and ensure the protection of sensitive data.

Post Name: Clinical Practice Professional
As Tautoko Mai is experiencing fast growth, we are looking to recruit a qualified professional with a clinical practice (e.g doctor, counsellor, nurse or social worker), to counsel and guide the Tautoko Mai Board in current best practice and pragmatic approaches to support our vision and our work within our communities.

Tautoko Mai are recruiting a Board member with significant strategic expertise and experience in managing the governance demands of an organisation in high growth. This key role includes identifying priorities, establishing goals and objectives, finding resources, and allocating funds to support the decisions that need to be made around strategic planning and key directions.
